The gorge is steep-sided, and there
are few points at which the river can be crossed, so it is helpful to know where
the bridges are. An extensive network of footpaths has been designated, numbered
and colour-coded, so in theory it should be difficult to get lost. So how come
a 2-hour walk took me over 4 hours?
